1935 Bank of Canada $500 to make auction debut at Toronto Coin Expo

A ‘superb rarity’ that’s making its auction debut, Lot 530 features a 1935 Bank of Canada $500 banknote with a pre-sale estimate of $500,000-$600,000. The ‘trophy note’ will be offered in Geoffrey Bell Auctions’ Sale No. 29 on Sept. 29, to be held in conjunction with the Toronto Coin Expo.
