‘Trophy note’ snatched up at auction, but P.E.I. collection steals the show

Auctioneer Brian Bell of Geoffrey Bell Auctions displays Lot 530 – a 1935 Bank of Canada $500 note that made its first-ever debut at an auction. This ‘superb rarity’ sold for $432,000, including buyer’s premium.
