For the first time in its 63-year history, New Hampshire’s Nashua Coin Club (NCC) has elected a young numismatist to an officer role.
At an NCC meeting earlier this year, the club’s annual election culminated with a new executive committee formed. Young numismatist Sam Ouellette accepted his nomination for one of the club’s three vice-president positions.
“Sam is a very dynamic and passionate numismatist as demonstrated by him being recognized three times with the NCC Young Numismatist Award despite strong competition by way of the accomplishments of other NCC YNs (young numismatists),” said NCC Secretary Kevin Winn.
“We are confident Sam will surprise and help NCC stay relevant for younger generations, and it will be interesting to have his perspective on any topics raised during the year.”
The NCC was named the Ontario Numismatic Association’s “Club of the Year” in both 2021 and 2022.
