The Week in Shows (Sept. 17-23)

There are three major shows on the Canadian numismatic calendar this week.

Today from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., the London Numismatic Society Coin Show will be held at the Ramada Inn on 817 Exeter Rd. in London, Ont. Hosted by the London Numismatic Society, the show will include exhibit displays as well as a bourse filled with coins, metals, banknotes and tokens. Admission is $2 (but children under the age of 12 are free).

GUELPH, ONT.

Later this week, on Sept. 23, the Guelph Fall Coin Show will be held at Colonel John McCrae Legion Branch 234 on 57 Watson Pkwy. S. in Guelph, Ont. The show will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and feature coins, banknotes, tokens, Canadian Tire money, medals, books and supplies at more than 35 dealer tables manned by some of Canada’s top numismatic dealers. Sponsored by the South Wellington Coin Society, the show’s admission is $3 (but children under the age of 16 are free). Free parking is also available at this fully accessible venue, which includes a “legendary” lunch counter, according to organizers.

CALGARY, ALTA.

Also on Sept. 23 and 24, the annual Fall Money Fair hosted by the Calgary Numismatic Society will come to the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre on 2120 16th Ave. N.E. in Calgary, Alta. The show will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and feature more than 55 dealer and exhibit tables. Hourly draw prizes as well as a gold coin door prize will be held throughout the weekend. Free parking is available on site.
