France Waychison is the new president of the Association of Francophone Numismatists of Canada (ANFC).
Waychison replaces Yvon Marquis, who held the position since 2015. Francophone by origin but currently residing in Ontario, her extensive numismatic experience includes serving as the vice-president and president of the Canadian Association of Wooden Money Collectors.
The other ANFC officials are Vice-President Jacques Poitras, Secretary-Treasurer and editor Yvon Marquis plus administrators Claude Bernard, Gabriel Côté and Jasmin Lavoie.
The ANFC aims to inform Francophones and Francophiles in the field of numismatics, via a monthly bulletin published 11 times a year. The newsletter is available free of charge on the association’s website at anfc.info.
The ANFC is also planning a virtual meeting for April 20 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a panel of discussion on the future of numismatics in the short and medium term, one or two educational presentations and a Questions / Answer period for the participants.
