Collectors in Ontario and Quebec will have two coin shows to choose from this Victoria Day long weekend, with events scheduled for Peterborough and Boucherville on Saturday, May 17.
In Peterborough, Ont., the Peterborough Coin Show will take place at Westdale United Church, located at 1509 Sherbrooke St. Running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the spring event will feature 11 dealers offering a mix of coins, tokens, and banknotes. In addition to browsing and buying, attendees will be invited to vote on their favourite exhibit display. A snack bar will also be available, serving coffee, sandwiches and soft drinks throughout the day. Admission is $2, and there’s ample free parking. Everyone is welcome. Meanwhile, in Boucherville, Que., the Boucherville Coin and Stamp Show will run over two days—Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18—at De Mortagne School, 955 de Montarville Blvd. Sponsored by the ANPB (Association des numismates et des philatélistes de Boucherville), the show will feature 25 dealers specializing in both coins and stamps. A stamp auction is scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days, with free admission and free parking offered to all attendees.
