An online version of Trends is now available on the newly launched website for Canadian Coin News.
“People now have free access to a Trends App which provides images and details on various Canadian coins and banknotes,” says Publisher Mike Walsh. “While we are still in the soft launch stage of uploading the content, especially the history side of it, all the valuations have been updated and will be going forward on a regular basis.”
There is a fee to access Trends’ valuations.
Walsh says the new website, which took several months to build after research and consultations with stakeholders, also features the popular coin show listings, access to previous issues of CCN , highlights of stories in the latest issue of CCN along with a “Latest News” section which will be updated on a regular basis.
Another key highlight is the forum page where readers can have open discussions with others on any numismatic topic. “We want the new website is designed to be interactive with our numismatic community,” Walsh added. “For example, we will use our opinion poll and the forum pages as vehicles to gauge feedback from the community on a wide variety of numismatic issues.”
“We want this website to become the ‘go-to site’ for all issues related to Canadian numismatics. “We are still uploading content during the soft launch,” Walsh added.
“We encourage our readers to explore the new site and its many features, and share their feedback with us directly, or on our forum pages.” CCN is also launching an e-mail newsletter that will be sent out to subscribers, for free, on a regular basis highlighting stories from both the print edition and website version of CCN.
Anyone who signs up for the newsletter will have their name entered for a draw to win a digital microscope and stand, valued at $250.00.
To sign up go to: www.canadiancoinnews.ca.
The newsletter link is located at the bottom of the home page.
Walsh added that there will be numerous advertising opportunities on the new website as well.
