The Week in Shows (April 21-27)

There are five major coin shows taking place in three Canadian provinces this week.

First up is the Guelph Spring Coin Show, which will be hosted by the South Wellington Coin Society on April 27 at Colonel John McCrae Legion Branch 234 on 57 Watson Pkwy. S., in Guelph, Ont.

The show will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and admission is $2, which will grant each attendee a coupon for free admission to the Toronto Coin Expo the following week. With more than 35 dealer tables offering coins, banknotes, tokens, Canadian Tire money, medals, books and supplies, the show will also feature a club-sponsored children’s table for collectors under the age of 14.

Parking is free.

CENTRAL NOVA COIN CLUB SHOW

Also on April 27 is the Central Nova Coin Club Annual Coin Show, which will be held at the Best Western Truro-Glengarry Hotel and Convention Centre on 150 Willow St., in Truro, N.S.

Jointly hosted by the Central Nova Coin Club and Atlantic Provinces Numismatic Association, the show will be open to the public from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

ANPB COIN & STAMP SHOW

In Québec this weekend is the Association des Numismates et des Philatelistes de Boucherville’s Coin and Stamp Show, which will be held April 27-28 at De Mortagne School on 955 De Montarville in Boucherville.

The show will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days with 35 dealers offering both numismatic and philatelic material. Admission and parking are free.

EASTERN ONTARIO COIN & STAMP FESTIVAL

On April 27, the Eastern Ontario Stamp and Coin Festival will be held at Crossroads United Church on 690 Sir John A. Macdonald Blvd., in Kingston, Ont.

Jointly hosted by the Kingston Numismatic Club and Kingston Stamp Club, the festival will be open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and attendees are invited to buy directly from the clubs’ members, who will have tables to buy, sell and trade material. Admission and parking are free.

SUDBURY STAMP & COIN SHOW

Also on April 27 is the Sudbury Stamp and Coin Show, which will be held at the Parkside Adult Centre on 140 Durham St., in Sudbury, Ont.

The show will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and admission and parking are free.
