Nuphilex returning to Montréal in new venue

The biannual Nuphilex show is set to return to downtown Montréal later this month for the first time since fall 2019.

The two-year hiatus came amid the ongoing pandemic; however, with local health restrictions eased and COVID-19 case counts low, show organizer Emmanuel Andreou was able to go ahead with the upcoming fall show. He will invite dealers and collectors back to the bourse – albeit at a new venue – from Nov. 26-28.

The three-day show will take place in the Plaza Centre-Ville’s Evo venue on 777 Robert-Bourassa Blvd. Billed as Canada’s largest coin and stamp show, it features more than 50 tables of coins, banknotes, tokens, medals, militaria, stamps, jewelry and watches. The show will open its doors each day at 10 a.m., closing on Nov. 26-27 at 5 p.m. and on Nov. 28 at 4 p.m. Admission is $5 on Nov. 26-27 and free on Nov. 28.

Following provincial and federal COVID-19 guidelines, show organizers are requiring all attendees to wear a mask inside the venue at all times. Attendees are also required to show their COVID-19 vaccination status in one of three ways – on paper, on your mobile device as a digital file or on VaxiCode, the Québec government’s official proof-of-vaccination app. Attendees will also need to show their photo identification.

This November’s show will be the only Nuphilex held at the new location in Plaza Centre-Ville. Next year’s spring and fall shows will return to McGill University’s New Residence Hall.
