Today, Pobjoy Mint will release a new silver coin featuring the famous Greek mythological horse Pegasus on behalf of the government of the British Virgin Islands.
The coin’s reverse design is based on an iconic Greek image of the famed Winged Horse Pegasus and the Goddess Athena. Beneath this design are inscriptions detailing the coin’s weight and fineness. The Mint’s “P” mintmark also appears below the design.
Approved by Buckingham Palace, this Reverse Proof coin depicts the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse.
