Mint rises to fifth on Corporate Knights’ Best 50 list

The Royal Canadian Mint has climbed to fifth place in Corporate Knights’ 2025 list of Canada’s Best 50 Corporate Citizens, up from its previous position.

The Mint was also ranked first among metal products manufacturers, second in the broader Materials sector, and second in the Metals & Mining industry. The national recognition highlights improvements in key areas including sustainable revenue and investment, energy and emissions management, waste reduction, and equity-focused workplace practices such as paid sick leave, employee retention, and diversity at the executive and board levels.

“As an organization dedicated to minting with care, the Royal Canadian Mint is focused on delivering sustainable economic value for Canada in ways that are both socially and environmentally responsible,” said Mint President and CEO Marie Lemay.

Toby Heaps, CEO of Corporate Knights, noted that top-ranked companies continue to “set the bar” in areas such as decarbonization and leadership diversity, while also seeing stronger financial performance.
