Manitoba club remembers Dave Riddle

The Manitoba Coin Club (MCC) has remembered long-time member and dealer Dave Riddle, who died on July 28.

“The MCC joins friends and family on the passing of Dave Riddle. Dave, an archeologist, was a long-time numismatic dealer that many would have recognized at both our annual shows as well as at the Red River Bourse,” reads the Manitoba Coin Club’s August newsletter, which called Riddle “a knowledgeable and friendly dealer who always had time to talk about whatever it was that you were looking for.”

“Dave was a member of the club and had many friends in the numismatic community. He will be missed.”

The Manitoba Archaeological Society, with which Riddle was involved throughout his decades-long career, also issued a statement: “During his career Dave recorded more Manitoba archaeological sites than anyone, and his name will be forever tied to the archaeological record.”
