The latest edition of the Canadian Numismatic Research Society’s (CNRS) Transactions (New Series, Vol. 6) is now shipping.
The 2019-dated perfect-bound volume spans 55 pages and covers several topics while offering “A Guide for Contributors” as well as four memorials (for late numismatists Mel Kyle, Norm Williams, Walter Allan and Freeman Clowery).
Among the articles included in the new volume are “Dollars For The Bank,” “The Origins of Silver to the Bank Of England,” “A Communion Token’s Fall from Grace” and “Howard Laing Hutt – Professor, Gardener, and Numismatist (1866-1948).”
THE ‘NEW SERIES’
The original series of Transactions included 37 volumes and ran from 1965-2001, after which time it was combined with CeeTee – the journal of the Canadian Association of Token Collectors – and renamed Numismatica Canada. In 2013, to mark the 50th anniversary of the CNRS, Transactions was revived with the “New Series.”
