The Adem Karisik Collection of Canadian Currency will be offered by Heritage Auctions in a single-day online auction on Aug. 31.
Among the highlights of the 78-lot offering are:
- a 1954 $5 “Devil’s Face” variety (BC-31b) in Paper Money Guaranty (PMG) Gem Uncirculated-66 EPQ (exceptional paper quality) with an estimate of $500-plus as Lot 88034;
- a 1954 $1,000 note (BC-44e) in PMG Choice Uncirculated-64 with an estimate of $2,000-plus as Lot 88049;
- a 1954 $1,000 “Devil’s Face” note, this a “Pick 73” variety (BC-36), in PCGS Banknote About Uncirculated-53 with an estimate of $9,000-plus as Lot 88043; and
- a 1937 Series $50 note dated Jan. 2, 1937 (BC-26a) in PMG Choice Uncirculated-63 and estimated at $15,000-plus as Lot 88024.
