Royal Canadian Numismatic Association (RCNA) officials are urging attendees of this year’s convention, coming to Halifax in five months, to make their hotel reservations now as limited rooms remain available due to a major sporting event scheduled at the same time as the weeklong money show.
The Westin Nova Scotia in Halifax is the host hotel for the 2023 RCNA Convention, to be held July 18-22.
“It has come to my attention that the Westin Hotel is almost fully booked,” Bourse Chair Jeff Wilson wrote in an email sent to dealers this week. “The RCNA has set aside a number of rooms for the RCNA Convention. There are very few of these rooms left. Please note there are lots of things happening in Halifax this summer. The North American Native Games are being held during the same week as our convention. Besides the 5,000 athletes, there will also be their staff and lots of spectators attending this event. There will not be any hotel space available in any hotel in the city of Halifax.”
The Westin Nova Scotia was also the host hotel of the 2015 RCNA Convention.
