The numismatic community is gearing up for two major events in January 2025: the 70th Annual Florida United Numismatists (FUN) Convention and the 53rd New York International Numismatic Convention (NYINC).
Scheduled for Jan. 9–12, 2025, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, the FUN Convention is a cornerstone event in the numismatic calendar. This year’s theme, “Great Time for Collecting,” reflects the convention’s commitment to fostering enthusiasm among collectors. Attendees can look forward to approximately 600 dealer booths, educational programs, competitive exhibits, and activities for young numismatists.
Highlights include mini-mint demonstrations by Timothy Grat, showcasing the minting process from molten metal to finished medallions, and appearances by historical reenactors portraying figures like Abraham Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin.
53rd New York International Numismatic Convention
Following the FUN Convention, the NYINC will take place from Jan. 16–19, 2025, at the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel in New York City. Recognized as the United States’ largest numismatic event focused on foreign and ancient coins, the NYINC will feature over 100 leading dealers from around the world.
The convention will also host a series of auctions, educational seminars, and meetings of numismatic organizations, providing a comprehensive experience for attendees.
Both conventions offer unique opportunities for collectors, dealers, and enthusiasts to engage with the numismatic community, acquire new pieces, and deepen their knowledge of coin collecting.
