First Hamilton Coin Society logo coming next month

The Hamilton Coin Society (HCS) will unveil its first logo in mid-January after forming in the southern Ontario city a year earlier.

Designs were submitted to the club’s executive committee in December, and a winner will be chosen by Jan. 15, 2020, and awarded a $100 prize.

The HCS currently has about 40 paid members with upwards of 25 attending each of the club’s monthly meetings, which include an auction and presentation. The meetings are held on the first Monday of the month – throughout the year – at St. Michael’s Anglican Church on 1188 Fennell Ave. E. They begin at 7 p.m.

The HSC executive includes:

  • President and Treasurer Robb McPherson;
  • Vice-President Stephen Adams;
  • Secretary Steve Wilton;
  • Auction Co-ordinator Len Trakalo; and
  • Editor and Archivist Alan Roy.
