Family fun and collecting at National show

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or simply curious, the National Postage Stamp & Coin Show—returning Sept. 6–7 to the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale—offers something for everyone.

The two-day event brings together more than 50 dealers and over 100 tables packed with coins, banknotes, tokens, medals, bullion, stamps, postal history, postcards and collectibles of every kind. Dealers will be available to buy, sell and appraise items, giving attendees a chance to learn the value of family heirlooms or explore new areas of collecting.

For families, the show is especially welcoming. A free Kids Coin Auction takes place on Sunday afternoon, while the youth table runs throughout the weekend, offering giveaways and activities designed to spark interest in the hobby. With free admission for children, the show continues to nurture the next generation of collectors.

Educational opportunities are another highlight. Seminars led by experts in both numismatics and philately provide insight into Canada’s hobby history, market trends and specialized collecting areas. These sessions remain popular with newcomers and long-time enthusiasts alike.

Accessible and affordable, the show runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $6 on Saturday and $3 on Sunday, with free parking available on site.

The National Postage Stamp & Coin Show has earned a reputation as one of the country’s most diverse hobby events, making it a can’t-miss destination for collectors and the general public alike. For two days this September, the Hilton Mississauga will be the place to discover, learn and connect.
