The Canadian Tire Collectors Club (CTCC) has handed out its annual Thayer Bouck Research Award to long-time member and area director Stewart Cameron, of Lower Sackville, N.S.
The award – named in honour of CTCC past president Thayer Bouck, who died in June 2020 – honours the best research article among the previous year’s issues of the Collector, the club’s quarterly newsletter.
“For several years, we have recognized members who provide research articles,” CTCC President Jacques Poitras wrote in the July issue of the Collector.
For 2021, the nominations spanned 21 articles from seven writers, including Cameron, who authored two works featuring “detailed research” on Canadian Tire and its various leaders, according to Poitras.
In 2019, Cameron also received the CTCC’s Sandy McTire Award of Distinction for his extensive work with the club.
