Coin exchange Friday, Saturday at Canadian Coin & Currency

Canadian Coin & Currency is hosting the Royal Canadian Mint this weekend for a coin exchange featuring four different commemorative coins, including the 2023 $2 “100th Anniversary of the Birth of Jean Paul Riopelle,” 2023 $1 “Elsie MacGill,” 2023 $2 “Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day” and 2022 $2 “Queen Elizabeth II” coins.

There’s a limit of two coins of each variety per person while supplies last.

The coin exchange takes place this Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Canadian Coin & Currency on 10355 Yonge St. in Richmond Hill, Ont.

Canadian Coin & Currency is also offering for sale special canvas bags with one each of the four coins plus $20 bags containing a variety of commemorative and historic coins. The offer is in-store only and while supplies last. See the store for full details.

Coin exchanges are cash-only transactions—any Canadian circulation coin or banknote denomination is acceptable. There is no admission fee.
