Award-winning book on U.S. Double Eagles

Dealer and author Michael Fuljenz has released an updated and expanded version of his awarding-winning U.S. gold coin reference book, Type Two Double Eagles 1866-1876, A Numismatic History and Analysis.

At the recent 2022 Chicago World’s Fair of Money, the Numismatic Literary Guild honoured the publication as the “Best Investment Book of the Year.” It’s the second such honour for Fuljenz.

At the recent 2022 Chicago World’s Fair of Money, the Numismatic Literary Guild honoured the publication as the “Best Investment Book of the Year.”

The book cover states the 117-page edition, with full-colour illustrations of every coin, will provide collectors with useful information about the 31 different $20 denomination gold business strikes and proofs produced at the Carson City, Philadelphia and San Francisco mints between 1866 and 1876. It also provides rarity rankings, striking and lustre characteristics, eye-appeal details and other useful information to build a collection.

The book from Fuljenz, the president of Universal Coin & Bullion in Beaumont, Texas, also includes a consumer protection advisory section about counterfeit U.S. Double Eagles produced in China. The fakes are regularly offered to unsuspecting buyers in the U.S. marketplace.

The book will be available in late September on coinstampsupplies.com.
