The American Numismatic Association’s (ANA) National Coin Week, April 21-27, celebrates “A Hobby for a Changing World – 100 Years and Counting,” highlighting the evolution of coin collecting alongside societal shifts.
The 100th anniversary event will explore how coinage and money reflect cultural values throughout history. The ANA is offering numerous events throughout the week to engage its members and collectors. Events include:
- Starting April 21, engage a daily trivia on its social media for the chance to win prizes.
- ANA clubs can register to receive educational and promotional materials, including the Club Trivia Challenge, with opportunities to win prizes.
- Young numismatists can join a medal design challenge.
- Attend free NumismaTalks throughout the week (see below for details).
- Explore articles from The Numismatist related to this year’s theme.
From April 22- 26, NumismaTalks will focus on this year’s theme, “A Hobby for a Changing World – 100 Years and Counting.”
Each course starts at 5 p.m. MT and include:

- Numismatics Online: Changing the World of Research and Collecting | April 26, presented by Peter van Alfen
