A limited edition 2015 World’s Fair of Money coin is selling out fast at this week’s annual show in Chicago, Illinois.
Joe Iorio, owner of Vancouver-based J&M Coin & Jewellery Ltd., told Canadian Coin News today the Fine silver coin has already sold out at the Royal Canadian Mint’s booth, and he expects his supply will sell out, as well. The coin was released yesterday, which was the opening day of the five-day show sponsored by the American Numismatic Association.
J&M and the RCM are the only dealers authorized to sell the 2015 ANA Maple Leaf at the money fair.

It has been enhanced with the state flower of Illinois, the violet, and micro engraved as a privy mark. The coin, with a mintage of only 5,000, is 38 mm in diameter and weighs 31.39 grams. It retails for $79.95 Cdn.
