All Nations’ 1,500th auction features key Canadian coins

Vancouver-based All Nations Stamp & Coin is set to hold its milestone 1,500th auction on Saturday, March 8, at 1:30 p.m. PT.  The 215-lot sale, estimated at $100,000, is available for online viewing and bidding via the company’s website.

Lot 201: A well-preserved 1912 George V $5 gold coin (XF+), an early Canadian gold issue, offers a glimpse into the country’s rich monetary history.

The numismatic section features a strong lineup of Canadian and world coins, including:

  • Lot 200: A high-grade 1948 George VI Voyageur Silver Dollar (XF), with only 18,780 minted
  • Lot 201: A well-preserved 1912 George V $5 gold coin (XF+)
  • Lot 214: H.B.C. McDames Creek Post pre-1926 $5 card money from the Hodgkinson collection, a rare piece of early Canadian currency history
  • A certified selection of Queen Victoria-era Canadian five-cent to 50-cent coins
  • A high-grade 1947 Maple Leaf Silver Dollar
  • Gold coins from Canada, China, India, and Italy
  • An ancient coin from Aspendos and hammered coins from England

    Lot 214: A rare piece of early Canadian currency, the H.B.C. McDames Creek Post pre-1926 $5 card money, comes from the renowned Hodgkinson collection, preserving an important part of British Columbia’s trading history.

The auction also includes an important historical offering: H.B.C. McDames Creek Post pre-1926 $5 card money from the Hodgkinson collection, a rare and significant artifact of British Columbia’s early economic history.

The sale concludes with the final offering of the Sydney Hodgkinson Hudson’s Bay Company British Columbia pre-1926 card money.

As with all All Nations weekly auctions, there is no buyer’s premium and no credit card or PayPal fees.
