Armed robbery at Colonial Acres involves one customer

On Jan. 17, less than two weeks after another incident in nearby London, an armed robbery took place with three suspects – one with a gun – stealing merchandise from Colonial Acres in Kitchener, Ont.

Officers with the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) were called to Colonial Acres, located near Victoria Street North and Turner Avenue in Kitchener, soon after 3 p.m.

“Three masked suspects entered the business with one brandishing a handgun,” according to a report from the WRPS. “The suspects stole merchandise from the business before fleeing in an awaiting getaway car, where a fourth suspect was waiting in a newer model grey SUV-type vehicle. At the time, a customer in the store sustained minor physical injuries that did not require immediate medical attention.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the WRPS robbery unit at 1-519-570-9777 (extension 8255). Anonymous tips can also be left with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
