Show season is underway, and it’s another busy week for Canadian numismatics.
Later this week, on Oct. 22, Coin-a-Rama is being held at the Five Points Mall on 285 Taunton Rd E., in Oshawa, Ont. Hosted by the Oshawa Coin Club, the show will run from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Free dealer and membership draws and hourly public draws complement free admission.
“So come out and look for that special item for your collection or for a gift,” said Sharon MacLean, event organizer. “I am sure you’ll find what you need.”
QUEBEC
On Oct. 22-23, the Association of Numismatists and Philatelists of Boucherville (ANPB) is hosting a Coin and Stamp Show at De Mortagne School, 955 De Montarville, in Boucherville, Que. The show, which is slated to feature a 35-dealer bourse, will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
NEW BRUNSWICK
Also on Oct. 22 is the Florenceville Collectors Club Show and Sale, being held at the Y’s Men’s Building in Woodstock, N.B. The bourse will feature coins, paper money, militaria, sports cards, and other collectibles and antiques. Admission is $2, although children 16-and-under are free.
NOVA SCOTIA
Lastly, on Oct. 22 is the Third Coin and Collectors Show, being held at the Dartmouth Seniors Service Centre on 45 Ochterloney St., in Dartmouth, N.S. Hosted by the Halifax Regional Coin Club—host club of the 2015 Royal Canadian Numismatic Association (RCNA) Convention—the show is slated to run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is $2, although children 16-and-under are free. In addition to free appraisals and a door prize, attendees will also be invited to take part in a silent auction.
