U.S. Mint Director David Ryder hosted Royal Canadian Mint Master Marie Lemay for a special signing ceremony in Philadelphia on July 3 as the two countries jointly issued the “Pride of Two Nations” two-coin set.
Collectors were invited to the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia to have their set’s certificate of authenticity signed by the pair.
“Not only do the U.S. and Canada share a border, but we also share history and many cultural values that have resulted in an enduring relationship,” said Ryder.
“This coin set is a fitting tribute to our abiding friendship, strong alliance, and commitment to co-operation.”
THIS WEEK AT THE ANA
Lemay is also joining Ryder for another signing ceremony at the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money in Illinois this week.
