The Week in Shows (Sept. 10-16)

It’s the second week of September, and there are two major coin shows on the docket.

Today from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., the Rotary Club of Brampton Coin and Trading Card Show will be held at the Century Gardens Recreation Centre on 340 Vodden Rd. E. in Brampton, Ont. Attendees are invited to buy, sell, trade and appraise their material at more than 40 dealer tables, including a children’s table. Admission is $3, and free for children under the age of 14). Parking is free. Funds are also being raised for children’s charities. The show is sponsored by Willard Burton, former owner of B & W Coins, as well as the Rotary Club of Brampton.

HALIFAX, N.S.

Also taking place today from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. is the Halifax Regional Coin Club Collectors Show, which is being held at the Hilton Hotel on 101 Wyse Rd. in Dartmouth, N.S. Following dealer set-up at 8 a.m., the doors will open to the public from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is $3, and children under the age of 16 are free.
