Show season is beginning to wind down as we enter the holiday season here in Canada and around the world.
This week, there are two events on the docket.
Today is the final day of the two-day Stamp and Coin Show being hosted by the l’Association des numismates et des philatélistes de Boucherville (ANPB) at De Mortagne School on 955 De Montarville Blvd. in Boucherville, Qué. The show will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and include 35 dealers. Admission and parking are free.
BRAMPTON, ONT.
Today is also the Rotary Club of Brampton Coin and Trading Card Show, which is being held at Century Gardens Recreation Centre on 340 Vodden Rd. E. in Brampton, Ont. The bourse will feature more than 40 tables, including a children’s table, of dealers buying, selling, trading and appraising various numismatic and trading card material.
The show will be open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and admission is $3 (although children aged 14 and under are free) and parking is free. According to organizers, funds are being raised for children’s charities.
In addition to the Rotary Club of Brampton, the show is sponsored by B & W Coins and Tokens, the location of which was taken over by Stan Kipa, owner of Swiss Silver, this June with a “totally fresh inventory and a totally fresh approach.”
