The Week in Shows (Feb. 3-9)

Three major events are slated to take place in two provinces and one nearby U.S. city this week.

First up is today’s Paris Coin Show, which will feature more than 50 tables of coins, paper money, tokens, militaria and more. Held at the Paris Fairgrounds on 139 Silver St., in Paris, Ont., the show will be open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The $4 admission charge includes a draw ticket for a gold coin.

Billed as “Canada’s best one-day coin and collectables show,” this biannual event is held each February and August. For more information, contact show owner Jared Stapleton, who also owns the biannual Toronto Coin Expo, or visit pariscoinshow.ca.

ANFC COIN & STAMP SHOW

Later this week, the Association des Numismates Francophones du Canada’s annual Coin and Stamp Show will feature more than 40 tables of dealers and exhibitors.

To be held Feb. 9-10 at the Best Western Plus Hôtel Universel on 915 rue Hains in Drummondville, Qué., the show will be open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day and boasts free admission.

LEWISTON, N.Y.

Rounding out this week’s events is the Coins and Collectibles Show 2019, which will be held Feb. 9 at Lewiston Fire Station #2 on 1705 Saunders Settlement Rd., in Lewiston, N.Y.—only about a 10-minute drive from the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge in Niagara Falls, Ont.

Hosted by the Niagara Frontier Coin Club, this semi-annual expo is for all collectors looking to buy, sell and trade coins, currency and more. Open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., the show boasts free appraisals, free admission and free parking.
