The Royal Canadian Mint is inviting Canadians from coast to coast to attend or tune in to its annual public meeting on May 13 at 12:30 p.m. (MT).
The Mint’s new President and CEO Marie Lemay, whose first day at the helm of the Crown corporation was Feb. 18, and board chair Phyllis Clark will share information about the Mint’s performance and plans while taking questions from the audience.
The duo will then be joined by Canadian National, a freight railway headquartered in Montreal and serving Canada and the midwestern and southern U.S., to unveil two new collector coins celebrating the company’s 100th anniversary.
The meeting will be held at Claude Mongeau National Training Centre on 550 Pandora Ave. E., in Winnipeg; however, people who are unable to attend the meeting in person are encouraged to join via a teleconference. Details about how to join will be announced in the coming weeks.
