Police seek stolen coins’ rightful owner

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Oxford County are seeking the rightful owner of a large collection of Canadian collector coins, including sets and singles recently seized from a local pawn shop.

According to police, the coins are believed to have been stolen from a residential break and enter in Oxford County or the surrounding area. The alleged theft would have taken place before Feb. 20.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or these coins is encouraged to contact the Oxford County OPP Street Crime Team at 519-485- 6554 or the OPP at 1-800-310-1122.
