Police search for $6,000 in stolen Australian banknotes

Tasmanian police are asking for the public’s help after about $6,000 in old Australian banknotes were stolen from a property near Sheffield in North West Tasmania.

The Devonport Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating the burglary, in which at least two people are believed to be involved. Authorities said a safe holding about $6,000 of various denominations of Australian paper money was stolen.
