One of the most prestigious coin and stamp shows in Canada, Nuphilex, is set to open this Friday, with scores of numismatic and philatelic materials offered in one venue.
Held at Complex EVO (formerly the Holiday Inn) in Montreal, Que., Nuphilex runs between March 27 and 29.
“The show has been a great success for over a quarter of a century and I shall continue in the founder’s footsteps toward the same goal,” said Gabriel Sebag, show organizer.
The show, established by Serge Laramée in 1981, has allowed stamp and coin collectors to share their passion under one roof for more than 30 years.
Nuphilex offers collectors 6,400 square feet and about 60 dealers with whom they can buy, sell, exchange or get an estimate for their collection.
Open for three full days, the show begins with an early bird bourse at 8 a.m. on Friday. Early bird admission costs $25, with proceeds going to the Quebec Autism Society and the Miriam Home. Lower Canada Auctions will then conduct Friday’s coin auction. Click here for auction listings.
On Saturday, the floor runs between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., during which The Canadian Numismatic Company will host another coin auction. Click here for auction listings. TCNC will also be holding a non-floor session Sunday afternoon.
Admission for Friday and Saturday is $3, while Sunday – open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – is free. For collectors who are 14-and-under, admission is free all weekend.
