Newly formed Windsor Regional Coin and Collectable Club seeking members

The Windsor Regional Coin and Collectable Club, established in Windsor, N.S. last October, is seeking new members after hosting its first two meetings.

The club’s inaugural meeting was held Nov. 23 at the Hants County War Memorial Community Centre on 78 Thomas St. and featured “a great turn out,” according to one of the club’s founding members David Hickey.

Hickey added it was “great meeting members of the community and surrounding area that have the same interests in collecting.”

The meeting was also attended by Atlantic Provinces Numismatic Association President Dan McCormick as well as executive members of the Halifax Regional Coin Club (HRCC), which hosted the 2015 convention of the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association.

The only other active coin clubs in Nova Scotia are the HRCC and the Central Nova Coin Club.

The club’s second meeting was held Jan. 10 at the same location.
