Hamilton club launches website

The Hamilton Coin Society (HCS) has launched its first website, hamiltoncoinsociety.ca, after continuing its monthly in-person programming last month.

The club, which held its first meeting in January 2019 before entering a pandemic hiatus, returned to its original venue in the east end of Hamilton, Ont., on June 6. The meeting drew about 20 members with 21 lots offered in a club auction.

Following its next meeting on July 4, the HCS will meet on Aug. 8, Sept. 12, Oct. 3, Nov. 7 and Dec. 5.

The HCS is also seeking a logo.

“Get those creative juices flowing,” wrote Alan Roy, one of the club’s roughly 20 charter members, in the July HCS newsletter. “The winning designer will receive a $100 prize and may see their design on a medal in the future.”

Interested designers can send drafts to Roy at alroy477@gmail.com.
