Long-time Canadian numismatist, exonumist and auctioneer Geoffrey Bell is slated to speak at the Sixth Annual Northern California Numismatic Seminar this September.
A New Brunswick native, Bell will highlight “some aspect” of numismatics with a transportation design or story, tying in with this year’s seminar theme, “Transportation Numismatics.”
“In the past five years, NCNA has made its annual seminars a major informative and interesting presence in organized numismatics – not just in northern California, but a presence enhancing numismatic enlightenment,” said NCNA President Lloyd Chan, who’s also a director with the Canadian Association for Numismatic Education.
“The 2019 seminar adds to one’s numismatic edification and enjoyment,” added Chan.
In addition to Bell, who’s the founder of Geoffrey Bell Auctions, the seminar’s speakers include:
- Kyle Lubke, a 24-year-old numismatic dealer;
- Matthew Malvini, a 19-year-old coin enthusiast; and
- Jeff Shevlin, a dealer of “So-Called Dollars.”
Registration for this all-day event begins at 8:30 a.m., with the program opening an hour later. The seminar is free, and there will also be free door prizes awarded to attendees. Free on-site parking is also available.
