Home Forums General Discussion How to Write a Great Study Abroad Essay Reply To: How to Write a Great Study Abroad Essay

For some students wishing to study abroad, expressing their purpose can be one of the most difficult parts of applying for a program. Good news: it’s not as difficult as it might seem at first! After all, you’ve come this far in the study abroad research process, so chances are you’ve already thought about what you need to write an essay about. If you take your time and take the time to create a clear plan, your statement of purpose to apply to study abroad will really shine.

Ordinary goal requirement statement
While each program application may have specific essay requirements, most will require students to consider the following two components:

Goals of studying abroad (i.e. academic, career and personal) – you will most likely need to briefly describe your goals and identify specific ways in which studying abroad will help you achieve those goals.
Why did you choose this program/place – this aspect of the statement of intent explains more specifically why, of all the programs and places on earth where you can study, you are applying for this one.
Create a sketch
Before you start writing your goal, make sure you read the essay guidelines and tips carefully. The worst way to sabotage a great essay is to ignore a key requirement in the instructions, and the best way is to go to the essay help service and ask the author. To remember essay hints, copy and paste them at the top of your document for quick reference.

Once you fully understand what points to cover in your goal statement, creating an outline will help you keep your essay organized, clear, and concise. Follow the steps below to make this process easier and more understandable.
