First major coin, stamp show of 2015 this weekend

The first major stamp and coin show of the year gets under way this weekend in Toronto.

UNIPEX Stamp and Coin Show, sponsored by Unitrade, will feature about 28 dealers and 100 tables. The three-day show opens at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16 at the Toronto Plaza Hotel (formerly Ramada Inn) at 1667 Wilson Avenue, located near Hwy 400 and 401 and minutes from the Toronto Airport and Yorkdale Mall.

Admission and parking is free., there is TTC access available at the front doors, and there will be draws for daily door prizes.

The show opens at 10 a.m. each day, closes at 6 p.m. on Friday; 5 p.m. on Saturday; and, 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The 28 dealers will be selling and appraising stamps, first-day covers, postcards, paper money, coins, gold, silver, and stamp and coin supplies.

Canadian Stamp News and Canadian Coin News will be at the show and will be offering a show special on a frameless illuminated chrome-plated magnifier.
