B & W Coins and Tokens closes doors, hosting liquidation sale until Sunday

Brampton, Ont.’s B & W Coins and Tokens is closing its storefront at 345 Queen St. W. and hosting a five-day liquidation sale with five sessions taking place between May 24 and 28.

The sale, hosted by Auction Network, includes 1,876 lots that formerly consisted of an inventory worth about $500,000.

Although the first two sessions have concluded, bids are undisclosed.

Highlights of today’s 298-lot session include Lot 11, two 1952 dollars (one regular and one “no waterline” variety); Lot 28, a 1908 Newfoundland Edward 50-cent coin; Lot 31, a collection of 12 1871 Prince Edward Island large cents; Lot 98, a U.S. 1901-O described as Mint State-63; Lot 141, a 1955 silver dollar in ICCS MS-64; and Lot 235, last year’s five-ounce silver five-cent coin from the Royal Canadian Mint’s Big Coin series.
