Royal Mint holding coin exchange at RCNA Convention on Saturday

The Royal Canadian Mint is offering the public a chance to collect its $2 circulation coin celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day. The public is invited to the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax, where the Mint is attending the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association’s Annual Convention for a public coin exchange.

“There will be a limit on the number of coins guests can exchange while supplies last,” states a release from the Mint. “Coin exchanges are cash-only transactions; any Canadian circulation coin or banknote denomination is acceptable. There is no admission fee to participate in this event.”

The exchange is being held on Saturday, July 22, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Commonwealth Ballroom of the downtown Westin Nova Scotian Hotel, located at 1181 Hollis St.
