The 40-dealer bourse at the 2018 Royal Canadian Numismatic Association (RCNA) Convention will open to the public today following the opening ceremony at 10 a.m.
As in the past, this year’s show boasts free admission for RCNA members while daily admission is $6 for walk-ins. The bourse will be open for three days, beginning today from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and closing on Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The bourse, which will also be open tomorrow from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., will include about 65 dealer tables manned by about 40 different numismatic dealers.
“The convention has been running continuously for more than 60 years,” said convention chair Bill O’Brien, president of the North York Coin Club, which is this year’s host club. “The RCNA members who participate meet and have development many life-long friends. These friends getting together regularly share numismatic knowledge with each other and almost everyone else who will listen.”
This year’s show is being held at the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale on 6750 Mississauga Rd.
Highlights of today’s schedule include the final day of the educational symposium and the second session of the RCNA Auction.
