The Paris Coin Show and Canada Coin Show, slated for Aug. 9 and Aug. 8 in Paris and Brantford, Ont., respectively, have been cancelled due to COVID-19.
Organizer Jared Stapelton issued a joint statement with Brian Bell, of Geoffrey Bell Auctions, on June 23, noting the decision came “as we comply with government re-opening phases for social gatherings related to the COVID-19 situation in Canada.”
“We are following all Health Canada, Public Health Ontario and Toronto Public Health guidelines and implementing all recommendations to protect the health of the collectors, dealers, attendees, staff and community members,” reads the joint statement.
“Numismatic events all over the world have been cancelled during these unprecedented times. We feel for everyone that has been affected by this situation – our heart goes out to you. We are determined to do everything to ensure our hobby remains as robust as ever.”
