For the first time since the pandemic began, Orillia, Ont.’s Champlain Coin Club (CCC) welcomed collectors and dealers back to the bourse for its annual coin show.
The Oct. 23 event took place in nearby Gravenhurst with a 10-booth bourse and several numismatic displays.
“Our fall show went very well,” according to a brief review published in the November Champlain Coin Club Bulletin. “Thanks to all those who participated. Attendance was better than expected being our first show in many years. We had folks waiting to get in ahead of opening time at 10 a.m. All had a great time, and we spread the excitement of collecting coins. Thanks to those members who came by to support the show. It was great to see you all.”
The club’s members returned to their regular in-person meeting schedule in March following a two-year pandemic hiatus.
The CCC, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, also issued a medal in June to mark the milestone with a design featuring the local Orillia Opera House.
