For the third year in a row, the Ontario Numismatic Association (ONA) will hand out its Club of the Year Award to the province’s best club over the calendar year.
The ONA is now accepting submissions for the award, which is presented annually at the ONA Convention, through this March. All ONA member clubs are eligible, and the winner receives an engraved plaque plus a monetary prize.
To nominate a club, send an email to ONA Club Services Chair Steve Woodland at clubservices@the-ona.ca no later than March 31 with a summary of the club’s activities and accomplishments over the past year. Submissions are judged based on a club’s means and abilities, so newer or smaller clubs – and those with limited means – will not be expected to have the same level of participation and activity as larger, long-established clubs.
This year’s winner will be announced and presented at the ONA Convention’s Club Delegates’ Breakfast in May.
Last year’s winner was the Stratford Coin Club while the inaugural winner – in 2018 – was the South Wellington Coin Society.
