The 62nd annual convention of the Ontario Numismatic Association will return to Hamilton April 19-20. “Last year’s convention at this location was great,” ONA convention chair Robb McPherson writes in the November-December Ontario Numismatist newsletter.
“We want to make this one even better,” he adds, noting the Friday and Saturday convention will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel. The dealer bourse will only be open to convention registrants on Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. The bourse is open to the public on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“We have some changes to the registration form this year; most importantly, we have reduced the mintage of the silver medals from 30 to 25 and increased the brass from 25 to 30,” says McPherson. The convention includes a president’s reception on Friday evening and the annual awards banquet on Saturday. For full convention details, visit the ONA’s website, the-ona.ca/2024.
