The Torex Coin Show, Canada’s National Coin Show, is set to offer collectors and enthusiasts a unique chance to explore a wide range of numismatic treasures this weekend at the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport Hotel.
Running on Saturday, Oct. 26, and Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, the coin show will feature opportunities to buy, sell, trade, and have coins professionally evaluated, all under one roof. Doors open at 10 a.m. each day.
Attendees will have access to a diverse array of coins, paper money, and other related collectibles, provided by some of Canada’s most respected dealers. Show Manager Brian Smith emphasized the value of the event for collectors of all levels, saying, “Torex is a great opportunity for anyone interested in numismatics, whether you’re just starting out or have been collecting for years. It’s a place where you can connect with experts, explore rare finds, and learn more about this fascinating hobby.”
Canadian Coin News will also be on hand, with owner Mike Walsh bringing a selection of popular numismatic supplies. While he will have a single table at the event, Walsh encourages collectors and dealers to reach out ahead of time with any specific supply requests, ensuring he can have them ready for pick-up at the show. Those interested can contact him at mwalsh@trajan.ca or call 1-800-408-0352.
Smith also highlighted the educational aspect of the show, noting that “the chance to interact with knowledgeable professionals and ask questions about coins and paper money makes Torex a valuable experience for everyone who attends.”
As Canada’s longest-running commercial coin show, Torex has been a staple of the numismatic scene since 1962, hosting three events annually at the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport Hotel. It remains a go-to destination for collectors to connect with area coin clubs and learn more about the hobby.
Admission to the Torex Coin Show is $5, with free entry for those under 16. Special discounted parking is available at $6 per day for attendees, with passes obtainable at the hotel front desk throughout the weekend.
