The Royal Canadian Mint is slated to unveil a silver coin commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Hong Kong at the Manitoba Legislature in Winnipeg later this morning.
The Mint will be joined by Jon Reyes, member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba (St. Norbert); Bonnie Staples-Lyon, Mint director; and George Peterson, Battle of Hong Kong veteran (Winnipeg Grenadiers) at the unveiling, which is scheduled for 11 a.m.
