After a two-year pandemic hiatus, the Manitoba Coin Club (MCC) hosted its annual fall show this fall with “extremely successful” results, according to organizers.
More than 350 people attended the Oct. 1-2 show, whose success was owed to what MCC President Ken Dobson lauded as the “exemplary efforts” of organizer Kelvin Neufeld, the club’s treasurer. Second Vice-President Larry Dalman co-ordinated advertising with local newspapers and an interview with CTV Winnipeg while First Vice-President David Northcott collected admission, sold raffle tickets and organized prize draws.
“The various coin and stamp dealers were impressed with the attendance as well as their sales,” Dobson wrote in the December edition of Bison Tales, the club’s official newsletter. “These voluntary contributions by all were appreciated and I am most grateful.”
The MCC’s roughly 100 members come from several Canadian provinces and other countries abroad.
