Last week, longstanding American Numismatic Association (ANA) member Larry Baber was re-appointed as the association’s treasurer.
Baber, who has been an ANA member for more than 40 years, served as treasurer from 2011-14. Previously, he worked as a certified public accountant and partner in San Diego, Calif., with the accounting firm of Leaf & Cole, LLP.
From 2014 until earlier this year – while Baber was on a church mission on the Marshall Islands, located near the equator on the Pacific Ocean – the position of ANA treasurer was held by Gerome Walton, who will now return to his previous role as assistant treasurer. Walton has served as assistant treasurer since 1988.
The next ANA Board of Governors meeting is slated for Aug. 13 at 9 a.m., during the ANA World’s Fair of Money.
